Stina Fors (Sweden, 1989) is a choreographer, dancer and performance artist, drummer,
and vocalist based in Amsterdam. She graduated from the School of New Dance
Development in 2019. She sometimes kills with a powerful voice, sometimes seduces
until exhaustion. Her howls are not bare words; they are fused with spits and fluids, a certain
wetness - punches in the face, licking of your heart, lubricant for one’s soul.
Stina found her love for sound, and the voice, and developed from there on consistently a
repertoire of solo performances. Stina emerges herself in a deep process of research,
experiments with the extensions and limitations of the body and what a ‘sounding body’
could be. Her performances are unconventional, thought-provoking as well as very
entertaining. Experiment and failure is used intentionally as a creative strategy. Stina seeks
to keep finding ways to destabilize her artistic process and its public mediation. She does not
want to feel too secure navigating its performance, create within a recognizable canon, or
most importantly surrender to a common logic of theatrical representation.

She has shown her work Internationally, examples include: The Watermill Center
(US), Spider Festival (SLO). Enter Through The Void, Exit Through The Gift Shop - CAMPO
(BE), EAREYE festival-Inkonst (SE), Dansehallerne (DK), Night Shift - De Studio (BE),
Dansmakers (NL), Centrale de Fies (IT), Borås art museum (SE), UFER Studios (DE),
Frascati (NL), Het Veem Theater (NL).
She also performs regularly in the underground music scene.
